Religion & Politics: The Truth Movement

Religion and politics are said to be taboo social issues. Those which shall not be named. Fear of being disagreed with does not justify social silence. Many people choose to make a habit of never discussing either subject with anyone. And yet, without discussion, politics and religion would just run amuck. Politics and religion affect every living creature on Earth. When politicians allow our planet to be polluted and radiated, politics becomes deadly. When religion divides people, it lessens the value of life in general, and there's nothing Godly about that. The very notion that any one race or creed of people is somehow more valuable in our creators eyes is blasphemy.

Mystics predict a seismic change is coming to our planet. Some say it will be nearly apocalyptic in nature. A "truth movement" is growing. Hate is being outted and identified and condemned by the masses. A wave of change is upon us. Social media brought a sea of change to the Middle East, with the uprising of the Arab Spring. Some say this is just the beginning, and I'm inclined to agree. People are popping. Our creator is calling his brightest and best home. I've never witnessed as much loss, or suffered as much myself, as I have these past few weeks. It's as if the rapture has been in progress all along, and we have been left behind to face the tribulations of Revelations. There is hell on Earth. You only have to hear the cries of a grandfather who watched a drone kill his young grandson at a family wedding. I'd rather burn in hell.

But nobody's ever seen hell, or heaven, for that matter. And nobody has ever heard Gods voice in their head without being labeled mentally ill. Clinging to the notion that we are all in "His" likeness, we must assume that our advanced intelligence is part of that likeness. As Carl Sagan said, we are the Cosmos looking back at itself. Personally, I believe that I am God, and so are you. If God is the Alpha and the Omega, then it stands to reason that God must also be everything in between. That includes EVERYTHING. In creation, there are no half bloods. Everything is whole, as it should be, and the cosmos balances itself through evolution. Our creator is mysterious, that is true. But my faith doesn't come from the words of any man, written or spoken. My faith comes from personal experience, and I can honestly say I've had more than most people have in ten lifetimes. I am a very, very old soul. Like Jesus, I am a philosopher. Like everyone and everything, Jesus was Gods creation. And so, finding Jesus's story a compelling, historically documented tale of censorship and torture, you may call me a Christian. I've been called worse. Yet, I cannot deny my belief that mainstream Christianity has been hijacked by the devil, in the form of false profits in mega churches and on AM radio. America sets the world trends. We are slowly waking up and smelling the hate that is being financed in Jesus's name. There's money to be made by pointing out people's sins and offering them redemption. The ever present threat of an eternity in hell is the catch all. Act now before it's too late. Everyone looks holier when they're deflecting their own sins onto an audience. Nobody who puts his pants on one leg at a time has any more authority or intelligence or connection to the divine creator than you do. Jesus never sought a pedestal. He never wanted an private jet or a mansion. He never took anything. He only gave. Anyone who claims to represent him, while pointing out your sins, is doing so for his or her own gain. Do not be misled.

Religion and politics should be separated, and for good reason. If we let your God into the schools, we have to let everybody else's God in too. In which case we can just stop giving all churches tax exemptions and expect them to fund our education system like everyone else who pays property tax. If you want your child to receive a religious education, nobody's stopping you from sending them to a private school. As for me, I'd prefer that religious indoctrination stay in the crumbling institutions it's decaying in. There can only be one creator, and we can disagree about who "He" is until the cows come home, and it's not going to bring any of us closer to enlightenment. America is founded on a 2 party system that requires presidents to proclaim their Christianity. And yet most voters agree that our choice is always the lesser of two evils. What does that mean? It means we are still voting for evil. There has never been a president without innocent blood on his hands. Clearly, our politics and religion, as well as our world population, cannot be sustained.

My faith is something I rarely discuss. I never want to be mistaken as someone who believes he knows it all. I freely admit that I only know what makes sense to me. I cannot tell anyone else what to believe. I am deeply grounded in reality. I have researched ancient aliens,  New World Order conspiracy theories, politics and religion and social trends for years. And the conclusion that we are all God just makes sense to me. That doesn't mean that I have any special powers or higher understanding than anyone else. It just means that I've come to peace with what I don't know, and I have faith that my life has a purpose. This brings me a peace of mind which allows me to accept tragic events, in my life, that I cannot control. This doesn't mean that I don't pray. It just means I don't pray with the image of a man in the sky in my mind. Instead, I find comfort in envisioning my prayers joining with those of others with good intent, across the world, to create a positive energy I can feel inside my heart. We are never alone. Whatever you are praying for, there is always someone else praying for something similar. Our thoughts are energy, with the power to create. Our strength as a species is our ability to come together and change everything. I can't imagine anyone who believes in a creator thinking "He" wouldn't want all of "His" creation to live in harmony. If, indeed, that is the end goal, change will be crucial. You cannot have significant change without significant chaos, for out of chaos comes change. I have a feeling things are going to get a hell of a lot worse before they get better. My faith will get me through whatever comes my way. That's good enough for me.

Southern States Get Ready! You're About To Evolve!

Southern states get ready. You're about to evolve!

The power of same sex marriage is sweeping this land. It's ok to be gay! With the historic Supreme Court ruling that struck down DOMA (Defense Of Marriage Act) marriage equality is coming to every nook and cranny of America. Get ready bigots. Your marriages won't be worth the paper their documented on. That's right. The second the government let me marry my husband, your marriage was instantly effected and forever gone. IN YOUR HEAD

What an assault on the institution! The written contract of ownership and verbal contract of laborious vows for life. That sweet tradition of "to have and to own". Oh wait, that's slavery. That was once an institution too. Ironically, homophobes are racists too, so the shoe fits, either way. When you view marriage as an old time religious institution, you're living in the stone ages. It stopped being a religious institution the second the first Godless person said "I Do". Ever since then, marriage is a personal institution, created by those entering into a union with intent to commit for life. It is also a legally recognized institution, which automatically provides married couples with over 1000 civil rights to protect them and their kids. I started fighting for marriage equality in 2007. I've never asked for equality. I've demanded it! I Deserve it and so does everyone reading this. Only a bigot could claim to be in the "tea party" and not support my freedom from taxation without representation. That's what the original tea party was created for. How is it fair that the person I love should be punished with higher taxes (ineligibility to file jointly), while every other couple on our street gets thousands in tax returns because they can get married and I can't? That's in the past! Equality! I got mine! Go on out and get you some!

I live in Northern Illinois. I am politically active and aware. Many of my local politicians know me by name. They've been to my house and they've heard my demands and they've listened. As of June of this year, same sex couples will be able to get legally married here. I couldn't be prouder of our state and our country right now, with regards to equality. My closest followers will know that I didn't wait for Illinois to decide for me. I married my man, days after our 21st anniversary, in Dubuque, Iowa. I didn't appreciate having to search for puzzle pieces and figure out how to put them together in order to legally protect our family. We had a civil union in 2011 here in Illinois. We got married in Iowa in 2013, in order to qualify to file taxes filing jointly in 2014. I went through a name change, and legally, we actually do have all the same rights as any other married couple in our state, and on a Federal level. The only obstacle left is KY, and MO, and SC and well, you get the point by now. Marriage equality doesn't fully protect me in back woods, red necked, old time religion indoctrinated, good ole boy states. That's gonna change!

Humanity is becoming the norm. People are now connected, world wide, and have been for some time via Internet and social networks. Whereas, I was a child of the 70's, whose only influences were those in my immediate environment, and my religion predetermined by my geographic location, I am no longer that child.  That kind of child will never exist again because the world has changed too much. Everybody's got an iPad. We have access to the answers to almost any question we can ask. We've got s genius in our pockets. Our connection is the key to our universal oneness. A virtual tower of Babel. The Internet teaches the gay child, stuck in a trailer in rural Kansas that it gets better. It brings us closer to the people around us, and those who have left us behind to travel the globe.

Racist, homophobic parents are the most abusive of all. When child victims reach out, and intervention takes place, a new hope is born. I learned this the hard way when a young fan of my gay news videos reached out to me. He was 19. He had been born with a disability. His parents were abusing him and he needed help. Nobody was there to stand up for him. His parents were getting away with it and nobody cared, until I stepped in. Let's just say there's a town I may never step into again because after I got done expressing myself to his parents, they had a restraining order against me. But guess what. It got better! That young man is a prominent equality activist online and in his community and he's like family to me. We've come a long way baby! Anytime a child is being abused, it's everybody's business. Step in. Say something. Do something, but make it stop. You might be the only person who can.

And so I'm optimistic for the future. These next couple of elections are going to be a turning point. It's time for all political candidates to be asked where they stand on equality. Those who do not support it will be shunned by the growing majority of voters who have drawn a line in the sand. Any candidate running against equality cannot be running for anything good. Only by showing up and exercising your right to vote will you be a real part of that evolution. It's your best chance to remind your representatives that they work for you, and they must share your moral value that equality is a real American value. Tell your Southern friends to turn off that AM radio preacher and get online and google him instead. It's time to wake up. We are one.

Triflin' Bitches!

Trifling Bitches!

Hello friends! I'm back! Did ya miss me? I apologize for my extended absence. Family always comes first with me, and I've been sucked into enough family drama to fill ten seasons of a reality show. With the most recent loss of my closest and dearest biological relative, there is, quite frankly, an enormous hole in my heart. Let's fill that fucker! It's time for the Chazonator to get back to work!

If you know me, you know I tell it like I see it, and I've been seeing some very disturbing trends online lately amongst our own LGBT family. There's trannie hating, fem bashing, HIV discrimination, racism and religious superiority happening within our own "community" and this stupidity has to stop.

Today's topic: Trannie Haters

I have more transsexual friends than anyone I know. I can easily identify with all of their experiences with discrimination and people who just don't "get" them. And while I openly joke around with a select few friends I call "trannies", it doesn't give license to any listener to take the word trannie out of context and use it to hurt anyone. Sexuality and sexual identity are very complex, personal issues. Please take the time to educate yourself if you don't know whether the word you're using with any given party could be construed as an insult. That's our own personal responsibility. Many trans folk simply choose not to identify as transsexual at all, and why would they have to? Physical transition is like any other elective surgery, in the sense that it simply puts organs where they should go, not where they were genetically placed. If I believed that I was born a woman, my penis would be about as useful to me as my appendix. The mind doesn't change, the body does, and the conjunction creates comforting normalcy to those who seek it. Who are we to judge another's quest for normalcy in this mad world? As a gay child, I experienced gender identity issues myself. It wasn't until I reached my 20's that I really fell in love with having a penis and accepted my manhood entirely. And the androgynous features I proudly displayed in my youth are forever captured on film and photo. I whole heartedly embrace my feminine side and although I rarely find the occasion to dress up, I am a fierce muthafuckin drag queen!

Drag Queens

Can we stop dissing queens and clumping them together with transsexuals? Drag queens are entertainers, most with flair extraordinaire! RuPaul is a drag queen. She puts on an elaborate, couture costume, made just for her. She wears five thousand dollar,  lace front wigs, which lay so perfectly on her shaved head that it looks like fierce, natural hair. Her make up is not cover girl, it's Mac, because Mac covers BOYS. Costumes can be very intimidating. The first time I had a professional make up artist paint my face in drag, my little brother William, who was also gay, instantly became enraged at the sight of my face. He said I looked so bitchy that is freaked him out. I could never really understand that. I've always been drawn to fierce, strong looks and almost nothing has intimidated me since I was sixteen. Grace Jones, Boy George, Pat Benetar,  David Bowie, Jagger, Annie Lennox, Pink, and especially Madonna. I can't help it if full, glamour make up transforms me into a Diva with a look that can stop traffic and raise the hair on anyone with a penis and eyes. That's what drag does. It's a costume and nobody should be scared of it, and yet so many gays, lesbians and bisexuals, and yes, even transsexuals bash drag queens. Why? Because they've been taught to judge others as they have been judged. It's our own brand of self hate. Like RuPaul says, "Love yourself, because if you can't love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?" And I'm here to tell you that we all need love, no matter who you are.

And while I probably haven't cleared up every misconception or addressed every nuance of the inner bigotry that has infected our LGBT population, world wide, I have said my piece. When you see a transsexual person, and you make fun of him or her, it makes you a bully. Chaz Bono is a respectable man who has a successful career in the entertainment industry. Anyone who cannot respect him will get no respect from me, and the same goes for all of my transsexual friends. The main reason equality has been such a long time coming is because of our own lack of unity. When we finally all come together and stand, side by side, as the brothers and sisters that we truly are, only then can we achieve the equality we deserve and demand.

Peace
